Ethiopia’s ambassador to Somalia has been ordered to leave the country within 72 hours.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Government of Somalia has issued diplomatic measures against the Ethiopian government.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Somalia issued decisions following the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Somalia, and the Ministry ordered the Ethiopian Ambassador to Somalia to leave the country within 72 hours.

The ministry also ordered the closure of the Ethiopian consulates in Garowe and Hargeisa within two weeks.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Somalia said these steps were taken to protect the independence and territorial integrity of Somalia which was violated by the Ethiopian government.

These decisions from the government of Somalia in the past few hours are the most serious that it has taken against the violation of the Ethiopian government on the independence of Somalia.
