A joint press release by some of the former leaders of the country has been opposed to a recent decision taken by the President of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud.
The statement was jointly issued by officials including the former President Sharif Sheikh Ahmed, the former Speaker of the Federal Parliament and former Prime Ministers, who unfortunately pointed out that the President of the Federal Government is trying to make a decision on his own. would achieve the country’s destiny.
They also said that it is not possible for the country to have a presidential system with a president, a vice president and only two parties.
The former officials also said that it will never be accepted to lead the country with unfinished advice and pointed out that it could bring political crisis and disunity to the country.
These politicians also called on President Hassan Sheikh not to attempt an illegal extension of time for the state governments in the country and the federal government of Somalia.
