The Minister of Defense of Kenya, Aden Barre Duale, and a delegation led by him recently arrived in Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia.
The delegation of the Minister of Defense of the Government of Kenya was welcomed by the Minister of Defense of the Federal Government of Somalia Abdulkadir Mohamed Nur at Aden Adde airport.
The purpose of the trip of the Minister of Defense of Kenya is said to be related to discussions on cooperation and the acceleration of operations to eliminate the Al-Shabaab group that is fighting in Somalia and some parts of the country Kenya will have with its counterpart in Somalia.
The Minister of Defense of Kenya is also scheduled to hold meetings with the country’s top leaders in Mogadishu.
However, the Kenyan government is one of the countries that have troops operating under the name of ATMIS in Somalia, which are particularly active in Jubbaland administration areas.
