The President of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, today arrived at the air force headquarters of the Somali National Force, which is in the process of repatriating the training troops that were in Eritrea.
President Hassan Sheikh who stood over the process of repatriation of the troops ordered units of the army whose training was completed in Eritrea to return to the country today.
The president shared the hope and desire of the Somali people to participate in the eradication of Al-Shabaab, and praised the command of the country’s armed forces for implementing the national plan to strengthen and reform the country’s armed forces.
“The forces that have returned to their country consist of land, air and sea, and they include some who have been in Eritrea for many years and units that were sent at the beginning of this year who have completed their training and were quickly returned to their country, which eliminated Many circumstances faced the young people who stood up for the defense of their country, and it was a burden on their parents and their nation,” said a statement from the Somali Presidency.
He also told the president of the federal government that he has fulfilled the promise he made to their parents who have been worried for a long time about the condition of the army, some of whom have been absent for 5 years.
“I have fulfilled the promise we made to your parents, and I have fulfilled what I have taken from you, what they have taken from you is to die for you, and I hope that you will fulfill it, God willing,” said President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud.
President Hassan Sheikh has also given these troops a brief leave to share their happiness with their parents who have been away for a long time, saying that after the leave they will go straight to the operation to eliminate Al-Shabaab from the country.
