Kamal Aba Sheikh, the father of Sakariye Kamal Aba Sheikh, who was accused by the Somali government of facilitating the purchase of arms and other military equipment by the Al-Shabaab group, spoke about the allegations against his son.
Sakariya Kamal Aba Sheikh, who NISA recently claimed to have arrested while hiding in Somalia, was denied by his father Kamal Aba Sheikh, who said that his son was kidnapped in Mombasa, Kenya.
“My son was kidnapped in Mombasa, and I have the evidence of when he was abducted. There is nothing wrong with my son and I want to get justice for my son,” said Kamal Aba Sheikh.
He also noted that his son is a 28-year-old Kenyan who is not Somali, and he is demanding to be tried in Kenya.
“My son is a Kenyan citizen and he has nothing to do with what he is accused of. He is a man who works in a business that I opened for him. He learned from Chinna. He is not a man who has ever seen Shabab. If there is evidence on the table, he should bring it out and judge him. If there is no proof, they are asking for my son to be released,” said Kamal Aba Sheikh.
The father of the son who is accused of helping Al-Shabaab buy weapons and other military equipment from abroad has finally asked the Federal Government of Somalia to bring justice quickly.
