“Just like in Mahaday district yesterday and today, water is being pumped from Kakaan neighborhood in Mahaday district, which is also flooded, but the local residents are doing their best to prevent it.” Said Minister Omar Mohamed Omar.

The deputy minister also said that this flood was ahead of other flood times, noting that this flood is in addition to the fear of the heavy rains that have been warned that they will rain in the country and also the El Nino storm that has been reported. “The ministry is preparing to prevent other floods that will result from the El Nino storm and the torrential rains that are expected to fall in the country, they have introduced this water without reaching its plan. As for Hirshabelle, as we now know or have been told by the forecast, heavy rains from the monsoon will fall in the Hiran zone, and the Middle Shabelle is afraid that there will be flash floods, caused by the storm and the rains.
