Turkish security forces have seized 1 billion dollars worth of counterfeit money in Istanbul.

This money was arrested for six people involved, one of whom is a person from Ghana and three people from Sweden, according to the office of the governor of Istanbul.

The Turkish forces arrested the suspects in a warehouse in the Kagithane district of Istanbul, where they caught the counterfeit money intended to be sent to African countries, according to the police.

The houses of the accused were searched, and the money and jewelry they were carrying was taken from them. The consulates of Sweden and Ghana have shared information about their nationals who have been arrested in this case.

This counterfeit currency was the largest amount of money seized in the history of Turkey.
