Somalia’s Deputy Minister of Information, Abdirhman Yusuf Al-Addala, has denied that al-Shabaab released weapons and vehicles from the government forces in the recent attack in Masagaa area of Galgaduud region.

The Deputy Minister of Information, who gave an interview to Universal TV, said that one large vehicle was burned by the government forces, and the damage is very limited and the government knows about it.

Minister Al-Addaala said the weapons and vehicles presented by Al-Shabaab are fake to confuse the people. He said that the weapons and vehicles were already captured by Al-Shabaab.

“It’s not your car anymore. And those pictures are no more. It is self-made. Why didn’t they talk about the weapons when they captured them? “Why don’t we show the symbols of Masagawa to the people, I don’t know,” said Minister Aladdala.

Aladdala also said that the number of soldiers killed in the Masagawa attack is 9 soldiers. He said that 150 Al-Shabaab fighters were killed.

On the other hand, the Deputy Minister of Information said that the government has not stopped the war against al-Shabaab. He said they are still going and a lot of land has been liberated.
