The Independent National Electoral and Boundaries Commission has released the schedule for the by-elections for the HirShabelle Regional Council and House of Representatives.
According to the commission’s schedule, the elections will be held in 12 districts in Hiran and Middle Shabelle regions.
Hiran region is designated as Beledweyne, Jalalaqsi, Bulo Burde, Matabaan, Jawiil and Farlibaax districts, while Middle Shabelle region is designated as Jowhar, Balcad, Warsheekh, Adale, Mahadaay and Raage Celle.
The commission has already announced the general schedule for the HirShabelle elections, which calls for the designation and announcement of polling stations and polling stations before the next stages of the electoral process.
The by-elections are for members of the HirShabelle Regional Council and House of Representatives, with the commission stating that the election process is going through an official schedule that it has issued.
