Galmudug has requested the Turkish Ambassador to Somalia to invest in the areas of the administration.

The Vice President of Galmudug State, Ali Dahir Iid, held an important meeting with the Ambassador of the Turkish Government to Somalia, Alper Aktaş, and discussed the deployment of Turkish companies’ projects in Galmudug regions.

The meeting, which took place in Dhusamareb city, focused on strengthening cooperation in the development and reconstruction of Galmudug’s economic infrastructure.

The two officials discussed important projects, including the reconstruction of Hobyo Port, important roads, and airports in Galmudug regions.

The Vice President of Galmudug said that Galmudug has many investment opportunities, and there is a good security situation that allows private companies to operate in Galmudug.

For his part, the Turkish Ambassador Alper Aktaş welcomed Galmudug’s development plan, and pledged that Turkey is ready to strengthen its support to Galmudug, especially in the areas of development and investment.

The two sides also agreed that Turkish private companies should be encouraged to make direct investments in Galmudug, taking advantage of the opportunities and security in the region.
