Reports from the Lower Shabelle region say that the African Union ATMIS forces, especially those from Uganda, have killed civilians in Bula Mare area.
It was said that the ATMIS forces entered a farm in the Bula Mare area and killed two of the three people and then slaughtered them, while the third person was said to have escaped with injuries.
The Deputy Commissioner of Social Affairs of Kuntuwarey district in that region, Maadey Jeylani Ali, who is in Bula Mareer area, confirmed to the media that the ATMIS forces shot the two civilians and then killed them.
“The ATMIS forces shot and killed the two men. While they were on patrol, they suspected a man and shot them. There were three people. They killed two of them while another wounded man escaped, two months later. They killed a man who returned from the fields like this,” said governor Maadey Jeilani Ali.
There is no news from the ATMIS command and the Federal Government of Somalia regarding this incident which greatly alarmed the people living in Buulo Mareer area.
However, the people of Bula Mareer in the Lower Shabelle region have demanded the federal government and the South West state government to hold accountable the ATMIS army of the African Union operating in the Lower Shabelle region which has repeatedly killed civilians who are farmers.
