A meeting was held today in the city of Mogadishu by the Ministries of Labor and Social Affairs at the Federal and State level, the National and State Committees of Civil Workers.
This conference will focus on the reform of the Government Personnel Administration and the development of the Labor Administration and Government employees at both levels. It will also be analyzed the development of laws and the modernization of the policy of standardizing the salary levels of government employees.
Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the Federal Government of Somalia, Dr. Mohamed Ilmi Ibrahim said that this meeting is important for building and developing the skills and reforming of Government Employees at both levels. The Minister was also particularly grateful for the SERP project which focuses on strengthening the General Financial Management System in Somalia.
The Minister also said the importance of cooperation and coordination between the Ministries of Labor and Social Affairs at both levels of Government and the National Civil Service Commission at the Federal and State levels.
The meeting is also attended by the Ministers of the Ministries of Labor and Regional Government Affairs, the Chairpersons of the Civil Service Commission at both levels of the Government. This two-day conference will be concluded tomorrow with the release of a press release.
