The committee for finding a solution to the communal war in Luuq district of Gedo region has issued provisions related to finding a solution to the bloody war in Luuq district last week between two tribal militias who live there.
The members of Guggi led by the first vice president of the Jubbaland administration Mohamud Sayid Adan, Minister of State for the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change of Somalia Ahmed Omar Mohamed and other intellectuals who were in the district these days issued decisions on finding a solution to the civil conflict between them. communities living in the district.
Among the points of the committee is that the parties who fought in Luuq district should accept an unconditional ceasefire and to save the property of the displaced people in the districts of that district.
The Minister of State for the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change of the Government of Somalia, Ahmed Omar Mohamed, explained to the media five points that the committee issued from the conflict, which are:
1: An unconditional ceasefire enforced by both sides.
2: That the general peace of the area is taken and the person who contributes is his own and a joint action is taken against him.
3: That the parties involved in the conflict should prepare for negotiations to resolve the problem.
4: To avoid anything that disturbs the peace of the area, such as discussions that are ongoing as arousing the Community.
5: That the parties in the city save the property of the displaced people, without harming anyone’s identity.
In conclusion, the committee called on the people of Luuq district to participate in the peace process, and they also called on the displaced people to return to their homes.
