MP Mohamed Ibrahim Maalimow, member of the House of Commons, questioned how to manage the monthly deductions from members of the House of Commons, which he said nothing has been done.

MP Maalimow posted a note on his blog, he said that it is time for the parliamentary committee to be held accountable for spending $27,500, which is deducted from the salaries of the members every month.

“Since the amount has been going on for more than two years, the total amounts to a large sum of money that the Somali people or the Somali National Army can cover. It is time for the Parliamentary Committee to be held accountable for those funds and others intended for the Parliament,” said Maalimow.

The teacher said that the toilet pipes in the People’s Assembly Center have been damaged for a long time and have not even been repaired.

He said the Auditor General is waiting for accountability to do with how the parliamentary committee manages the large amount of money.
