The Puntland Navy said they seized illegal weapons and a network of suspected pirates.
This operation took place in the coastal district of Eyl, where the military said that it is one of the places where the attacks on international ships are organized.
A press release from the Puntland navy said that the army is looking for the pirates who took the ransom of a ship from Bangladesh and took $5 million.
Also, the army said that they seized a fishing boat belonging to the country of Yemen, which was fishing illegally off the coast of Puntland.
However, Somali pirates are said to be organizing attacks against foreign ships, and some of the ransom money is said to be used to finance new offshore operations.
