The owner of MMTV, Mohamed Abdi Sheikh Ilig, was released from Hargeisa Central Prison after the Mahomeda of Marodijeh region found him guilty of no crime, after 43 days of imprisonment.

Journalist Ilig, who gave a brief interview to MMTV when he was released, said that he was happy to get his freedom back.

“I am very happy that I got my freedom, I am happy that I got my rights, and the law protected me, and the law locked me up,” said Ilig.

He said that he will talk to the community again about his arrest, and he cannot say much now because he was in prison and he is not aware of the news in the market about him and what the community believes.

The lawyer defending the journalist said that the Somaliland Intelligence Agency committed a crime against Ilig and tortured him while arresting him, illegally entering his media center.

He said that the journalist was detained illegally for more than 40 days, and the intelligence agency NIA charged him with serious charges, which he said showed the hostility of the journalist especially towards the authorities. the agency.
