President Ahmed Mohamed Islam (Ahmed Madoobe) has strongly stated that the Jubaland Intelligence and Security Agency (JISA) is now the most powerful and knowledgeable security agency in the Horn of Africa.
The president made the remarks at an event to inaugurate the newly built JISA headquarters, which is said to be one of the most advanced intelligence centers in the country.
“The one in charge of security in the Horn of Africa today is the Jubaland Intelligence and Security Agency,” said President Ahmed Madoobe. “I am sure that even the Somali government is ahead of it.”
He noted that JISA has reached a high level of professionalism and intelligence intelligence capabilities, which he said is the result of his continuous efforts and investment since its establishment in 2013.
The newly opened center is equipped with modern technology that enables the agency to quickly identify and respond to security threats in the region. In addition, the center is staffed by specially trained officers.
This statement comes at a time when the country is experiencing a tense political situation and tensions between the state governments and the federal government, which have heightened tensions over the power of security agencies.
The Jubaland president has previously accused the federal government of reducing cooperation between federal and state security agencies, which he said led to Jubaland granting full independence to its security agencies.
