More reports are emerging of a deadly clan war that took place in the past few hours between the Maraayo and Baal Dheer areas of Galgaduud region.
The war was reported to be very intense, with both sides using all kinds of weapons, resulting in casualties and injuries on both sides and civilians, but the number of casualties is not yet officially known.
People in Baal Dheer area told local media that the war erupted over clan-related killings, and there is still a tension in the areas where the war was fought that could cause it to erupt again.
These two clan militias have fought several times in the past in areas of Galgaduud region, and no one has yet been killed in this war between the fraternal clans that are still fighting in the areas where they fought.
No steps have been taken by the Galmudug administration or the Federal Government of Somalia to stop the conflict and resolve the dispute between the two clan militias.
Galgaduud region is one of the regions where clan conflicts often occur, causing loss of life and property, and areas in that region have often witnessed horrific killings related to clan conflicts.
