Somali Prime Minister Hamsa Abdi Barre has appointed the General Manager of Administrative and Security Affairs at Mogadishu Airport and the Deputy Director General of the National Center in Tubsan.
A circular issued by the Prime Minister’s Office stated that the appointment was made after considering the knowledge, abilities and extensive experience of these officials in the assigned tasks. The Prime Minister officially appointed Abdinasir Mohamud Gurey as the General Manager of Administrative and Security Affairs at Aden Adde Airport in Mogadishu.
Also, Abdalla Hassan Ali will be the Deputy Director General of the National Center in Tubsan, which falls under the Office of the Prime Minister of Somalia.
These new positions have been described as important for the development of security and management of the country’s international airport as well as the improvement of national intelligence and intelligence gathering activities at the Tubsan center.
Prime Minister Hamsa commended the appointed officials for their new roles, urging them to discharge the heavy responsibility entrusted to them with honesty and competence, at a time when the country is facing a difficult period in terms of security and state-building.
These appointments are part of the ongoing efforts of the Federal Government of Somalia to strengthen key institutions in the country, in order to improve the services they provide to the Somali people.
