A delegation from the Arab League and Prime Minister Hamzeh discussed cooperation in education and the development of the Arabic language.

The Prime Minister of the Government of Somalia, Hamsa Abdi Barre, today received a high-level delegation from the Arab League, who came to the country to implement a major project to support the country’s education curriculum and the development of the Arabic language.

In this important meeting, the Prime Minister thanked the Arab League for its continued support in the fields of diplomacy, education, state-building and the role they have played in debt relief and economic support for the country.

He also said that the relationship and cooperation between Somalia and the Arab League is strategic and important for the overall development of the country.

The Arab League delegation, led by the Director of the Horn of Africa and Sudan Department of the Arab League, Zayd Al-Sabban, commended the Somali government’s efforts and the tangible progress achieved, highlighting the importance of strengthening political, economic and development cooperation to achieve a bright future.

Zayd Al-Sabban also stressed that the Arab League will continue to support important projects in the country, especially those related to education and the development of the Arabic language, to ensure that the younger generation receives a quality curriculum based on Arabic culture and language.

The meeting expressed goodwill and joint readiness to implement important projects, which will support education in the country and promote Arabic culture and language. It is expected that this cooperation will further strengthen the development and stability of Somalia in the near future.
