Algeria, Pakistan, and Somalia, working closely with the Qatari government, have formally requested the United Nations Security Council postpone an emergency meeting to discuss the Israeli attack on the Qatari capital, Doha.
The meeting, which was originally scheduled for last night after the Qatari Foreign Ministry filed a complaint against Israel, is now scheduled for today, Thursday.
According to diplomatic sources, the request for postponement is part of a coordinated effort by the countries to gain more time to strengthen ties and build a broader consensus on key issues under discussion.
