The Head of the African Union Mission in Somalia (AUSSOM), Amb. El Hadji Ibrahima Diene, held an official meeting with the National Security Adviser to Somalia, Amb. Awes Hagi Yusuf Ahmed, at Villa Somalia.
The meeting discussed key issues including the security transition process in Somalia, counter-terrorism efforts, the stabilization of the country and current political priorities.
During the meeting, Amb. Diene stressed the African Union’s commitment to supporting the Somali-led peace process, taking into account the aspirations and aspirations of the Somali people.
Also present at the meeting was Abdimalik Abdullahi, Director General of National Security, who was part of the discussions between the officials.
The meeting is part of the ongoing partnership and cooperation between the African Union and the Government of Somalia to strengthen peace, security, and development in the country.
