The command of the Somali Armed Forces has given more details about the losses caused by heavy fighting in areas of the Middle Shabelle region.
In a press release from the country’s military command, the names of 5 leaders of Al-Shabaab were killed in the heavy battle that took place a day ago in El Ali Ahmed area.
The five leaders of the group who were killed are said to be one of the leaders of the so-called Rebels in the Middle Shabelle, Galgaduud and Mudug regions, whose name is Hassan Abdiwahid Abdi Dhicisow, also known as Abdi Gurey.
Among the other leaders of the group who were killed in the fighting that took place in the Middle Shabelle, was Dahir Buxane, who was the commander of the fighters of the group and the head of the general transport of the group whose name was shortened to Anas.
This news from the Command of the Force comes as a day ago the Federal Government announced that 130 members of the Al-Shabaab group were killed in the fighting that took place in the Middle Shabelle.
