The Puntland administration has clearly denied a report from the Somali National Disaster Management Authority (SODMA), which said that the agency has delivered 200 tons of food aid to the local population in Bosaso.
The Minister of Relief and Disaster Management of Puntland, Ubax Abdirashid Hirsi, said that there is no food from the Federal Government of Somalia. Minister Ubax pointed out that Puntland has already decided to allocate aid from the world separately, without passing it to the Federal Government of Somalia.
Also, the minister called for the SODMA agency to clarify the claim about the food delivered to Puntland. She reiterated that the Puntland administration will ensure that the donations given to the needy are managed in an efficient and responsible manner.
The SODMA organization announced yesterday that they have delivered 200 tons of food aid to the city of Bosaso for the needy people.
