The Puntland administration has called for a consultation with the members of the two houses of the Somali parliament, which are elected from its regions.
These MPs have been invited to participate in the Puntland parliament session that will soon open in Garowe, where the issues that will be discussed are part of the conflict between Puntland and the federal government.
A member of parliament who spoke to the press in Mogadishu welcomed the consultation called by Puntland, and said that at this time it is inevitable that every administration calls its MPs for consultation.
However, some of the MPs elected from Puntland are very close to President Deni. Instead, they support the Federal Government of Somalia.
President Deni recently said that Puntland has lost the MPs it sent to Mogadishu, saying that he apologizes for choosing the MPs for Puntland.
It is not known whether the members of the two houses from Puntland will all welcome the call for consultation issued by the Speaker of the Puntland Parliament.
