The President of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, today celebrated the first day of Eid al-Adha in Mogadishu with some of the children whose fathers died in the war to liberate the country from Al-Shabaab.
He said President Hassan Sheikh that the soldiers who lost their lives in the defense of the country and the Somali people are in gold, and his government will maintain the rights of the orphans whose fathers died in the defense of the nation.
“Their government will never forget the children and their noble families, and I am asking God to all the veterans who sacrificed their lives for the defense of the country, the people and the Islamic religion to make their home in Janatul Firdowsa,” said President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud.
The President also praised the mothers of these children for their ability and dedication in raising and caring for these children whose fathers were martyred for the defense of the country and the Somali people.
The Federal Government of Somalia has already established educational centers in Mogadishu for orphans whose fathers died while serving the government and the Somali people.
