The President of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, has congratulated the re-elected President of Puntland, Said Abdullahi Deni, wishing him success in his mandate.
The President of Somalia wished the people of Puntland complete stability and development, and expressed how the Federal Government of Somalia is committed to play its role in the peace, unity and development of Puntland.
President Hassan Sheikh also praised the presidential candidates, the Election Commission and the Puntland House of Representatives for their efforts to hold an inclusive election in a peaceful environment.
Also, the prime minister of Somalia, Hamse Abi Barre, congratulated the president of Puntland, Saeed Deni, who was re-elected again, and wished him to make his duties easier.
President Deni has become the first president to be elected twice consecutively as the president of the Puntland administration, after today’s election in Garowe, the capital of Puntland.
