The forces of the Federal Government of Somalia with the help of the local people have recently taken full control of Eelgaras area in Galgaduud region.
The allied forces are said to have peacefully taken over the area of Eel Garas, after the Al-Shabaab group left there hours ago.
The reports add that the army is currently conducting security operations in and around the area.
On the other hand, the government and local forces have peacefully taken control of the villages of Adcadey and Adan Lahey, which are among the villages under Ruunirgood area in the Middle Shabelle region.
The capture of these areas by the allied forces today coincides with the federal government’s final drive to expel Al-Shabaab from their areas in Galgaduud, Hiraan and Middle Shabelle regions.
