The President of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, said that the government has received a lot of support in the fight against al-Shabaab to liberate many areas.
The president said that the world has turned to support Somalia, after the government put its forces into the fight against al-Shabaab.
“You have seen the battle of al-Shabaab in which our forces came. If we had expected an Islamic force, they would not have come to us. When we moved with our strength, we received a lot of international help,” said President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud.
The president told the world that he could not support Somalia due to the government’s slowness in not leading the fight against al-Shabaab.
Hassan Sheikh said his second chance to lead the country will be spent on ridding the country of Al-Shabaab, so that Somalia can stand on its feet again.
