The Federal Government of Somalia has announced that the armed forces and the local people who cooperate with each other have carried out planned operations in the last few hours in the district of Eldheer and its surroundings to arrest some of the leaders of the Al-Shabaab group.
The operations were said to have been carried out by the army in the areas of Hul Aduur and Halaney which are under the Eeldheer district of the Galgaduud region.
A news release from the government of Somalia said that the operation was carried out by officers identified as Abdi Mohamed, Ali Abgalow and Mohamud Alasoow, who were in charge of the travel funds section of the Galgaduud area.
“For the past few days, the army has been looking for the three of them who were hiding in the Hul-Adur area,” said the news from the Somali government.
Officials of the government forces in the area of Eeldheer also said that the forces will continue operations against Al-Shabaab in the areas of Galgaduud region of Galmudug administration.
