The security agencies of the Puntland administration are looking for traditional elders and chiefs in the city of Bosaso, who a few days ago told the press that they are against the decision of Puntland to act as an independent state.

Among the people who are wanted is the spokesman of the Traditional Elders of the Bari region, Nabadon Abdiqadir Yusuf Harago, who is one of the people who oppose the policy of President Deni in the federal government.

Nabadon Harago recently said that he does not accept that Puntland should become a separatist state, saying that the decision taken by President Deni does not reflect the wishes of the people of Puntland.

Also, these elders who are wanted by the security agencies have opposed the agreement between Puntland and Ethiopia.

A court warrant issued on the 21st of this month ordered the security agencies in Bosaso to arrest these elders, saying that they are suspects wanted in court.

Puntland targets anyone who supports the federal government. A few days ago, it banned a welcoming ceremony for the new minister of internal affairs of Somalia from Garowe.
