The warplanes also targeted a control point in Ruunirgood where the group used to collect money from vehicles using that road, and dozens of Al-Shabaab members were killed in the attack.

“The bombardment was targeted at a checkpoint where the militiamen used to drive the vehicles used by the people, and the preliminary losses of the militiamen there were dozens of militiamen and the vehicles they were driving were destroyed,” said the statement issued by the government.

On the other hand, the warplanes also destroyed four centers where the rebels were being held in the village of Arfuudo in Mudug region.

A news release from the government said that a house and a garage were also destroyed in the bombardment where the group used to prepare explosive vehicles to harass the Somali people.

These attacks are coming, while the Al-Shabaab group is still carrying out explosions and direct attacks in areas and districts of the Mudug and Middle Shabelle regions.
