The House of Representatives of Somaliland called the election law of Act No. 91 as a violation of the law and the President sent it back to the Senate.<\/p>\n

The House of Representatives said that the President’s decision to reinstate the law is inconsistent with Somaliland’s Constitution, according to a statement issued by the House of Representatives.<\/p>\n

“We hereby confirm that the text of the above-mentioned regulations that the President of JSL submitted to the Senate is inconsistent with Article 78\/3, which states that the President can only return a law to the House of Representatives”.<\/p>\n
