The government of Djibouti, which is one of the countries that have peacekeeping forces in Somalia, has sent new troops to reinforce the forces that were already in Somalia.<\/p>\n

These new forces are those of the Federal Government of Somalia who are participating in the strengthening of security, the fight against the Al-Shabaab Organization and also the increase of cooperation between the two forces at a time when the country is about to start the second phase of the operation against the Shabaab.<\/p>\n

General Sakariye Sheikh Ibrahim, the commander-in-chief of the armed forces of the Djibouti government, who was speaking at a farewell ceremony for the army, urged them to perform their duties effectively.<\/p>\n

Commander Sakariye also told the army that ensuring security in Somalia means strengthening security like the government of Djibouti, as the two governments and their brothers and sisters sympathize with each other’s problems.<\/p>\n

“The army that is here, which is the 11th batch that goes to help Somalia, it is a great honor for us to come to the rescue of our brothers who are in trouble. Somalia has done a lot for us when I fought for freedom and we have been rewarded by pouring our blood, I am talking to them. The soldiers and officers who show honor to me and go with victory and honor,” said the General. Sakarye Sheikh Ibrahim.<\/p>\n

General Sakariye also mentioned that the tribute of the Djibouti government to Somalia is indescribable, and that Somalia needs support today and will not leave it alone, as he said.<\/p>\n

Finally, the Djibouti forces in Somalia as part of the ATMIS operation are known as Hiil Walal and they have gone out with the people of Hiran, and they are operating in the cities of Baledweyne, Bula Burte and Jalalaqsi which are all part of the Hiran region.<\/p>\n
