Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud received an invitation from his Egyptian counterpart, Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.<\/p>\n

A senior delegation from the Egyptian government, who visited Mogadishu on the 7th of this month, brought the president of Somalia an invitation from the president of Egypt.<\/p>\n

President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud will arrive in Egypt in the coming days where he will hold a meeting with his Egyptian counterpart, focusing on strengthening the relationship between the two countries.<\/p>\n

The Presidency of Somalia has declared that the two countries will discuss the situation in the region that has been renewed in relation to Ethiopia’s desire for the Somali Sea.<\/p>\n

Egypt is at the forefront of the countries that have greatly opposed the desire of Ethiopia to seek a part of the land and sea of \u200b\u200bSomalia, while the Egyptian government insisted that it is necessary to protect the territorial integrity of the Republic of Somalia.<\/p>\n

Egypt is also at odds with Ethiopia over the Nile River, after the Ethiopian government built a large dam on the Nile River, which Egypt sees as a dangerous step for the future of Nile River water.<\/p>\n
