The Somali forces with the help of the local people have taken over the Al-Shabaab group in areas between the towns of Amara and Aad in the South of Mudug region.<\/p>\n

The areas occupied by the allied forces are Jeh Jeh and Burta Yaqgoos, and it is said that there was a battle between the allied forces and Al-Shabaab.<\/p>\n

The battle to take over these areas came after the coalition forces attacked these areas and it was said that members of Al-Shabaab were gathering.<\/p>\n

Officials leading the allied forces said that Al-Shabaab suffered losses in the fighting in the Jeh Jeh and Yagoos areas, but did not disclose the total official loss.<\/p>\n

“The operation is part of the struggle to eliminate the enemy in the south of Mudug, where a large area has been freed from religious violence that has become a habit of suffering for the people,” said a brief statement from the government.<\/p>\n

In the past few days, the government forces and local residents have increased their operations against the Al-Shabaab group in order to liberate them from the areas of Mudug region.<\/p>\n
