The Federal Government of Somalia has released more details about the attack on the 17th of December in the Jilib district of the Central Jubba region.<\/p>\n

The attack that took place in Jilib was a joint airstrike between the Somali government and the United States, which targeted a leader of the Al-Shabaab group that the United States government wanted.<\/p>\n

The Commander of the Somali National Army, General Ibrahim Sheikh Muhuddin Adoow, confirmed that the Jilib airstrike killed the leader of Al-Shabaab in charge of organizing the war, named Khalif Daoud, who was known within Al-Shabaab as Macalin Ayman.<\/p>\n

Major Ayman was identified as being responsible for the organization of various attacks in Kenya that targeted the American base in Manda-Bay and Kenyan military bases.<\/p>\n

The leader who was killed in the bombing has already been banned by the United Nations Security Council, and the United States has also placed a reward of 5 million dollars on his head, which was finally killed in a drone attack on the 17th of this month.<\/p>\n
