The commander of the Somali National Army in the 27th Division, Farah Ali Wasuge, Farah Kooshin, gave details of operations that took place for a week in areas between the cities of Baledweyne and Buulaburte in Hiran region.<\/p>\n

The commander said that the joint operations of the country’s armed forces and those of the local people have achieved considerable success, and the army has captured a large area where Al-Shabaab was.<\/p>\n

“The operation was successful and a long area of \u200b\u200b115 kilometers was passed, and wherever they went, the Khawarij men were chased. The operation started in Buulaburte district, Kalabir area, and the prisoners were captured from the enemy,” the commander of the 27- Farah Koshin of the army.<\/p>\n

These weekly operations between Baledweyne and Buulaburte are coming, as the Al-Shabaab group has been returning to the areas along the Shabelle River between Baledweyne and Buulaburte.<\/p>\n

Hiraan region was the first region where the uprising against Al-Shabaab group started and now it is expected that in the coming days it will directly start its second phase to end the Al-Shabaab group.<\/p>\n
