The President of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, delivered a critical speech at the International Conference on Climate Change (COP28) held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.<\/p>\n

President Hassan Sheikh presented in his speech the magnitude of the strong impact of climate change on Somalia, noting that the floods caused by the El Nino rains have killed 120 people and displaced more than one million people.<\/p>\n

He also told the president that this situation has increased, as the federal government has been fighting hard against the Al-Shabaab group to eradicate it from the country.<\/p>\n

“Somalia is at the forefront of the countries that are directly affected by the issue of climate change, and the example of our people who are currently dealing with the floods caused by the El-Nino storm are those who have already overcome the drought that has affected the country,” said President Hassan Sheikh. Mahmoud.<\/p>\n

The president also pointed out that Somalia is currently facing difficult situations as a result of climate change, and his government is committed to always dealing with every challenge to find a solution to the problem of climate change.<\/p>\n

President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud also criticized the international process in his speech to prevent the effects of climate change worsening in the world. on that issue, to ensure a world suitable for life.<\/p>\n
