The President of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, today in Mogadishu inaugurated the conference on the preparation of Somalia’s 2060 vision, which is the basis for the development of life, liberation and stability, the construction of economic infrastructure and governance of the country.<\/p>\n

The conference organized by the National Economic Council was said to last for two days, and was attended by officials from the Federal Government, member states and members of the international community who especially support the government of Somalia.<\/p>\n

President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, who gave a speech at the opening of the event, explained the challenges that have hindered the lives of the Somali people, mainly conflicts, insecurity, droughts and floods, noting the importance of this vision that connects the present and future generations. following.<\/p>\n

“Today, we are starting a new journey, a journey that will lead our country to prosperity and progress. The Millennium Vision 2060 shows our commitment to overcome the current challenges, while creating a strong foundation for the generations to come,” he said. said President Hassan Sheikh.<\/p>\n

President Hassan Sheikh also called on the Somali community and other leaders of the country to work for the common good so that Somalia can advance from where it is now.<\/p>\n

“I direct the National Economic Council to be the development of the vision of the century and to work closely with all relevant parties such as Ministers, government agencies of the Federal Republic of Somalia, member governments of the federation, civil society organizations, private business organizations, and our friends. President Hassan Sheikh said.<\/p>\n

At the conclusion of the Somali presidency, he announced the most important points that Somalia aims for in 2060, which are three parts.<\/p>\n

“The 2060 vision consists of three parts: 1. Short-term goals (2023-2025): and this goal is based on stability, eradication of terrorism and finding solutions to humanitarian issues. 2. Medium-term goals (2025-2040) ): Building institutional capacity, reforming government structures and ensuring good governance. 3. Long-Term Goals (2035-2060) emphasizing economic development, raising living standards and social cohesion” said a statement from the Somali presidency.<\/p>\n
