Officials who were arrested confirmed to Hiraan Online that the rebels have agreed to remove the troops from the neighborhoods they entered and return them to their camps.<\/p>\n

The various parties involved in mediation are trying to bring President Deni and the opposition to the table to discuss the disputed election process.<\/p>\n

The mediation committee met with the officer leading the loyalist opposition forces, and he said that he accepted the peace and will not fire a shot in Garowe city.<\/p>\n

Colonel Jimale asked the mediation committee to control the actions taken by the Puntland parliament, which he said would lead to the destruction of Puntland.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, the mayor of Garowe, Abdiqadir Mohamed Mohamud Geeddi, who also spoke to the people, told them to calm down, assuring them that the administration is working to ensure that there is no insecurity or war.<\/p>\n
