The Somaliland government has once again said that the Sool region is Somaliland’s territory, and that a conflict has been raised against it.<\/p>\n

The Minister of Technology and Communication Abdiwali Abdillahi Sheikh Sufi, who gave an interview to SAHAN TV, said that parts of Somalia were attacked in the Sool region.<\/p>\n

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a press release and clarified the government’s position that Sool is a Somaliland territory… what is going on in Sool is not a civil complaint but a war and an invasion that has been brought to Somaliland,” said Sufi.<\/p>\n

Sufi said that the recent trips of leader Firdhiye are proof that Somaliland has been invaded, referring to his recent trips to Mogadishu.<\/p>\n

He spoke about the talks between Somaliland and Somalia, saying that Somaliland can only talk to the government of Somalia in an inclusive international forum.<\/p>\n

The conflict in the city of Lasaanood is not over yet, as the Somaliland government has said that it is not possible to separate Lasaanood from Somaliland.<\/p>\n
