Somali forces, especially the 260th unit, have carried out planned operations in the past few hours in areas under Wajid district in Bakool region.<\/p>\n

The forces carried out the operation in the Eel Boon area, which is approximately 40 km to the North West of Wajid town, where members of the Al-Shabaab group have been in recent times.<\/p>\n

The commander of the 260th unit of the 9th brigade of the 60th division of the Somali National Army, Dhame Onkod Macalin Adan confirmed to the government media that the area of \u200b\u200bEl Boon has been officially taken over from the Shabaab group that was there.<\/p>\n

Commander Onkod also said that the operation led to the discovery of weapons and vehicles that were being used by the Al-Shabaab group to harass the people and fled from the Eel Boon area.<\/p>\n

He also mentioned that the commander will continue this type of operation targeting Al-Shabaab locations in Bakool region.<\/p>\n
