The President of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, who has been in the town of Maxas in the Hiran region for the past few days, reached Aden Yabal district in the Middle Shabelle region this afternoon.<\/p>\n

The purpose of the president’s trip to Aden Yabal district today, the Somali Presidency said, is to inspect the situation of the national forces and the local people who are working to rid the country of Al-Shabaab.<\/p>\n

President Hassan was welcomed by the President of Hirshabelle Ali Gudlawe Hussein, the Commander of the Somali National Army Brigadier General Ibrahim Sheikh Muhyiddin and senior officers of the Somali National Army and local residents.<\/p>\n

The president will hold meetings during his stay in Aden Yabal with the officers of the national army, the local people and the various sections of the society and he will discuss with them the acceleration of the war against Al-Shabaab.<\/p>\n

For more than a month, the President of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, has been away from Mogadishu, as he is working to speed up the fight against Al-Shabaab in the country.<\/p>\n
