The former president of Hirshabelle, Mohamed Abdi Waare, accused the Minister of Defense of Somalia, Abdiqadir Mohamed Nur, of being responsible for the soldiers and officers who died in the attacks in Galcad and Cowswayne.<\/p>\n

Mohamed Abdi Waare, who is currently the envoy of the president of Somalia in charge of protecting civilians in conflict areas, said that the minister of defense gave wrong orders while bypassing the commanders of the country’s forces, who were killed by soldiers and officers.<\/p>\n

Waare also said that the Minister of Defense ignored the advice given by the army officers, who recommended that the troops should not be stationed in areas that could be attacked, and that they could not receive military support.<\/p>\n

He said that the last command of the troops stationed in Cowswayne was given by the minister, while he said that the commanders of the forces were calling for the troops to march in a wide line, to support each other.<\/p>\n

Waare also said that the wrong information he gave recently put the lives of Commander Mahad Salat and Hassan Ali Nur Shute in danger.<\/p>\n

“The Minister of Defense gave wrong orders and many soldiers and officers including Hassan Ture were killed… He used to pay money to Union commanders, Horin commanders and others, and he sent thousands to them, and he also threatened Mahad Salad and others. Shuute,” said former president Waare.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, the former president of the Hirshabeelle administration, said that the Hawiye community is not ready for the Al-Shabaab war. He said that the Hawiye tribes have no position on the war against Al-Shabaab and how the captured Al-Shabaab should be dealt with.<\/p>\n

“People who say that my son who was born in Al-Shabaab, we will cut off his neck and head, and people who were behind the bombings and killed officers to take pictures of themselves and say that I am his minister and his parliamentarian, can those people be the same and be honest?” fighting against the Khawarij, said Waare.<\/p>\n

Waare advised that if the war against al-Shabaab is to be successful, each tribe should deal with it individually and take a united stand on what to do against their al-Shabaab.<\/p>\n

He called on the president to pay special attention to those he described as thwarting his efforts in the fight against al-Shabaab. He said his presence at the front of the war will not add anything if he does not change the way things are going now.<\/p>\n
