One soldier of the Puntland police force was injured, after a clash last night between a group of gunmen and the police stationed in Garowe.<\/p>\n

The confrontation that lasted for more than an hour involved the use of various types of weapons, including machine guns, which greatly disturbed the stability of Garowe.<\/p>\n

The deputy commander of the Nugaal police force, Mohamud Bile Fardaful, accused the forces under the command of the former commander of the Danab commando force, Kornay Jim’ale Takar, of being behind this act.<\/p>\n

The commander said, the confrontation happened after the gunmen of the Jimale army brought to the station a civilian who tortured them and said that the car he was driving hit the car they were driving.<\/p>\n

The commander said, a dispute between the civilians caused the gunmen to open fire on the soldiers who were operating at the base.<\/p>\n

However, the deputy police commander of Nugal region said that the gunmen behind this act will be brought to justice.<\/p>\n

The city of Garowe has become a victim of armed robbers, who carry out acts of insecurity in the city at night, including murder and robbery.<\/p>\n
