The Al-Shabaab organization is reported to have released some of the vehicles heading to Baidoa city, which they blocked in areas of the Bay region.<\/p>\n

Reports say that the vehicle was released after the traditional elders of the South West negotiated with Al-Shabaab officials to release the vehicle.<\/p>\n

However, the South West administration denied this and said that the recent operations carried out in the Bay region are part of the safe passage of vehicles through the blocked areas.<\/p>\n

The Al-Shabaab group is still in control of the Mooda-Moode area, a place where Al-Shabaab is said to be a checkpoint for trucks coming from Mogadishu to Baidoa.<\/p>\n

For more than two weeks, many trucks were stuck in the Bay region, causing the cost of living to rise, which affected the people of the area, who were already struggling with the effects of the drought.<\/p>\n

The Alshabaab siege has increased the price of food, fuel and other essentials for the lives of people living in Baidoa.<\/p>\n
