The administration of South West Somalia has announced that they will soon start heavy operations on the highway connecting the cities of Baidoa and Mogadishu to remove the Al-Shabaab group.<\/p>\n

The adviser to the president of the South West administration, Abdizais Mohamed Hassan Laftagareen, in the field of media, Mohamed Sheikh Abdullahi Hayow, said that the South West is running a plan to remove the isolation from the South West areas of the besieged group.<\/p>\n

He said that the Dervishes and the Federal forces are operating in the South West areas where Al-Shabaab is located.<\/p>\n

“Strong preparations for the second phase of operations to fight Al-Shabaab are currently underway and the forces of the South West region have been prepared to take part in the operations to eliminate Al-Shabaab,” said Presidential Adviser Lafgagareen Mohamed Sheikh Abdullahi Hayow.<\/p>\n

The adviser also noted that the only way to achieve success against Al-Shabaab is for the administration and the public to fight the group together.<\/p>\n

This official’s statement comes as the 11th day of lockdown in Baidoa, the capital of Bay region, has caused the price of food to double the price of everything.<\/p>\n
