The news we are getting from the city of Garowe, the capital of the Puntland administration, says that there has been a pause in the movement of flights at Garowe airport.<\/p>\n

The violence that took place last night in the vicinity of the airport, between Puntland forces and tribal militias, had an impact on the security of the airport.<\/p>\n

Airlines have suspended flights to Garowe for security reasons on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Militiamen who were pushed by the opposition politicians, are afraid to attack the airport, although the Puntland administration has tightened the security of the airport.<\/p>\n

Apart from that, at least three Puntland navy soldiers were killed and around ten others were injured in the clashes last night.<\/p>\n

The confrontation took place near the airport, after a clash between security forces and those who opposed the election.<\/p>\n

It was recently when the federal government of Somalia warned that Puntland could face a political crisis as a result of the conflict over the election issues that were not agreed upon by the government.<\/p>\n
