The governments of Somalia and Germany signed a financial agreement in Mogadishu today amounting to 19 million US dollars for the recovery of Somalia’s economic and business resources.<\/p>\n

This agreement, which is said to have been going on for almost two years, was signed today by Gargara, a branch of the Ministry of Finance of Somalia that supports business, banks and the German Development Bank of Germany (KFW).<\/p>\n

This investment is indicated to focus on various sources of production in the country, such as agriculture, livestock, fishing, energy, tourism, health, education and youth development.<\/p>\n

There were present at the ceremony where the agreement was signed by some of the Directors General of the relevant Ministry, the senior leaders of the aid agency, the heads of Somali banks and the Heads of Development and International Cooperation of the German Embassy in Somalia.<\/p>\n

Suleiman Abdi Duale, the chairman of the Relief Agency, thanked the people and the German government for their support to the Somali people.<\/p>\n

Allena Kern, the Head of Development and Cooperation at the German Embassy in Somalia, said that she is confident in the support provided by Gargara to private businesses, and also promised her full support.<\/p>\n

Germany is one of the countries that supports the federal government of Somalia, and helps in the fields of aid, development, business technology, health, education and security.<\/p>\n
